Safari has stopped rendering many sites!

Safari no longer gets to these sites.

www.apple.com/
www.versiontracker.com/macosx/
my.yahoo.com/

etc etc.

I see this error:

Safari can’t open the page “ http://www.versiontracker.com/macosx/”. The error was: “bad server response” (NSURLErrorDomain:-1011) Please choose Report Bug to Apple from the Safari menu, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message.

I open the same page in Opera, Camino, Netscape, Mozilla, Firefox and it works fine first time. But in Safari it fails all the time.

Any ideas? I've tried to isolate this but:

- It's intermittent - it fails 80% of the time. Sometimes a reload makes it work for some sites, not for all of them.
- It's annoying - It's actually forcing me to switch browsers (to Opera).
- I think I've tried everything I can think of to prove this isn't Safari. All other browses work correctly on the same machine with the same internet connection.

All I can say is "Please help".

Neil.
