Epson P50 over home network

Hi there. My Epson P50 is connected to a PC on my home network. My previous Epson printer would let me print across the network fine, as long as the PC was on then the MacBook would print to it - either wired or wireless. Now I just get an error message in the print queue each time I try - something about rastertoescpl failed. I've searched about the forums and other people have similar issues but not when a PC is being used as the host for the printer. The fixes I've tried (downloading the latest drivers, etc) have made no difference.

Really tearing my hair out on this one. Any ideas?
