Downgrading from 4.3 to 4.2.1 on 3GS

I did the update to 4.3 and would like to go back to 4.2.1, Has anyone done it? From what I've read I download a copy of 4.2.1 of for the 3GS, which I Did ,place it on your desktop, while connected and in itunes hold the shift key and press restore, you will be able to browse to firmware, select the copy of 4.2.1 and let itunes restore. Also I downloaded tiny umbrella incase I got an error 1015.

Has anyone else done this?

Thanks

I know this forum doesn't support downgrading iOS, but Apple doesn't seem to care about the 4.3.1 problems. I have downgraded iOS using the "shift/restore". I downloaded the iOS I wanted and saved it to the desktop on my pc. Plug in iPhone and when iTunes starts, hit shift then click on restore. Chose the iOS and start the downgrade. If the phone freezes, use "tiny umbrella" to un-freeze it. This process has worked for more people than I can count. Good luck. Also, complaining to apple doesn't do any good. That's what these forums are for. Personally I won't ever upgrade my 3GS because it works fine like it is on 4.1

Sore subject mate. Just Google and you will find your answer.

I'm still on 4.2.1 for Jailbroken purposes. What I can tell you is, you can't downgrade your Firmware. Apple just doesn't allow you to. One of the posters here is correct.
If you saved SHSH for 4.2.1 when was on apple servers you will be able to downgrade iOS,ONLY and ONLY.

If you never Jailbroken before then your SHSH blobs aren't saved and you cannot downgrade.

Same here. I don't update when the day the FW comes out.

To the OP: And why would you wanna downgrade back to 4.2.1? Is there anything wrong with 4.3?

I am also seriously considering downgrade to 4.2.1. Upgrade to 4.3 and immediately after to 4.3.1 resulted in poor battery life, slow response and ~30M 3G traffic, even if I am wifi connected (the infamous push.apple.com connection).
The sad part is that 4.3.1 includes security updates that I wanted to have, most notably for Safari. I hate when companies bundle fixes with new "features".
All in all, I am very disappointed by Apple - unfortunately, they turned into what M$ used to be.

Looks like Apple doesn't leave anyone a choice but to jailbrake their phones. 4.3.3 is the worst update ever!!! DO NOT GET IT! It is full of bugs. I cannot even use my WIFI with it now. Why Apple cannot allow people to downgrade IOS!!!??? IOS 4.3.3 is simpy poo ⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠
