Properties of Saved Title File

After a few years layoff I have gone back to Live Type to make some titles for my HD videos (new to me). I like the results but I can't figure out why it won't save the results as AIC which is what I set the project properties too. When I save the title and put it into FCE 4.01 I have to render the sequence. Very frustrating. Or is this way it it supposed to work?

While you can set project properties to match pixel dimensions and frame rate, LiveType always produces a file that uses the Animation codec as it supports transparency. AIC doesn't have that possibility, so you have to render.

The upside is that you can immediately see that the composition works without further tweaking.

Thanks for the reply. It solves my puzzle which was driving me nuts. I presume it is also the reason I couldn't get the saved file to play ok by itself but it played just fine in FCE.
