Shipping Estimate and Actual Arrival Date/Ship date
Hello,
I ordered my ipad on March 11th at around 6 30. Its estimated to be shipped on April 1st and arrive on April 6th via standard shipping. Im going on vacation on the 4th and was really really hoping to have it for my vacation. I called Apple today and they agreed to upgrade my shipping to 2-3 day versus standard shipping. The specialist said I should receive it 3 to 4 days sooner than I would have. Im really hoping to receive it on Monday before I leave with enough time to set it up.
My question is this, Has anyone seen earlier than estimated shipping? Earlier than estimated arrival dates? This is my first apple store order so Im just hoping beyond hope that the estimate is based on worse case scenario and that they are underpromising and overdelivering here. Has anyone ordered online before and had it ship quite a bit sooner than the 2 to 3 weeks that it said when they ordered, maybe with the original Ipad or an iphone? BTW, it seems as I ordered one of the most popular models, 16GB Black AT&T. Any input would be appreciated. If my order ships on April 1st it MIGHT make it here before I leave, but that is still cutting it dangerously close, as Im leaving for the airport possibly before my FEDEX truck would deliver.
