Mini Mac menu bar

We have just purchased a Mac Mini and I can't find the menu bar option.
it's not there. How do I get it to show up so we can shut the mini down?

Are you saying that the white Finder menu bar usually at the top of the screen is missing? Perhaps there is a problem with the Displays settings and the screen is not showing properly. If you can start system preferences, Displays, there should be a slier bar in there that is marked Underscan that works for some monitors (depending what you have).

If you just want to turn it off, Control OptionCommand keys, plus the Eject key.
