I would strongly advise caution with respect to this program. After seeing that it seemed to exacerbate the freezing problem I was having with iTunes (see, for example, here:
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2782150), I decided to uninstall it.
Well, running the uninstaller messed up my computer's USB drivers, leaving them unsigned! So suddenly I had no USB devices working, including my mouse. Using the keyboard controls (lots of Tab, Enter, Spacebar, etc.), I managed to use Windows System Restore to roll back to the point before I had ever installed the infernal thing in the first place.
Software that can't properly uninstall itself and which possibly destablizes the system is not worth it.
Besides, the iPad charges even at the regular rate, it just does so very slowly. Lithium batteries prefer slow anyway. And when you need fast, there's the wall charger.
