Can I watch a WebCast?

Is there a way to watch a webcast on Apple TV? I am able to view the webcast with my iTunes player, but I can't seem to get it through to the TV.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.6), iTunes 10.2.1

explain what you mean by webcast.
you say you can watch in in itunes, do you actually mean podcast ?

I am talking about live streaming video from a website. In the iTunes player if I go to the 'Advanced Menu' and select 'Open Steam' I can enter the url of the site video stream, and it is displayed in the iTunes movie viewer. However, there does not seem to be a way to pass it through to the Apple TV.

Welcome to the Apple community.

That's correct there is no way to stream web streams in the manner you describe. if the website is AirPlay enabled though, you can stream the video content to the Apple TV in that way.
