Unable to download iOS 4.3 update

Disable ALL security apps (firewall, antivirus/spyware, etc.) running on your computer.
Connect the phone to a USB port on your computer, not an external hub or keyboard port.

My question is why type of internet connection is it?

i have also disabled all security settings including windows defender,windows firewall, kaspersky antivirus is off and i still get the network connection has timed out any help would be appreciated

I had the same problem, however, today I decided to try 'hardwiring' my laptop directly to my internet router. Previously I was trying to do this via the wireless network in my home. NO success. BUT today with the hardwire, I was able to FINALLY download the iOS version 4.3 update in about 35 minutes!!

It is possible something within the School's network. Have you tried any other connections? Many restaurants and coffee shops have free wifi available.

I caint thank you guys enough! I have been battling this problem(2 iphones and ipad) for 5 months and have tried everything.I just uninstalled my AV,disabled my firewall,hardwired my LAN,and changed USB port. It finally worked....thanks again guys......... :):):)
