iPad Dead

My iPad seemed to have died today. I can't get it to do anything. It has a blank screen. When I try to recharge it, the same blank screen appears. I've followed all instructions to reset it but none work. When I plug it into my Mac, iTunes doesn't even open so it is not recognizing it. I can't figure out what to do.

iMac 10,1 Intel Core 2 Duo and MacBook 4,1, Mac OS X (10.6.2), Wireless Network w/ Apple TV and Time Machine

Hi,

Help here for an unresponsive iPad.

iTunes doesn't even open so it is not recognizing it

Launch iTunes. Under the Summary tab make sure: *Open iTunes when this iPad is connected* is checked.
