snow leopard and exfat

hello,
im running mac osx 10.6.6 on my macbook i just wanted to know if i could create and read/write exfat formatted hdds.

also i have a mac running 10.5.X along with boot camp can they read the exfat hdd created by the macbook ??

Yes.

No. Only Snow Leopard supports exFAT.

Yes, exFAT is supported back as far as XP. You'll need to download and install updates for XP while booted to it. Microsoft's exFAT page for XP is here.
