Q: Converting MOV files to MXF files

I'm working on a project with an Editor who uses a PC running Windows 7 Adobe Premiere CSF software. Any easy way to convert MOV to MXF files without loss?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.4.10), FCS 2 FCP6.0.6

Why do you want to convert to .mxf?

Adobe Premiere will import .mov files directly,
and export .avi files for Windows and various web formats directly.
It would seem that converting to .mxf would be unnecessary.

Of course, you might get a better answer on an Adobe forum...

I'm going by what the editor told me. When I check the Adobe forum they do mention certain codecs and I'm thinking he's concerned about compression and loss. I think I'll let him try to get more info from Adobe. Thanks, this was helpful.
