Where is iPhoto Download Stored?

Where is iPhoto Download Stored?

I just downloaded iPhoto '11 through the App Store. I have a separate HDD that I store all my applications on in case of a crash, reinstall, etc... Where is the iPhoto Installer download located, so that I can put it on this backup drive?

Thanks for any help.

I don't know, but you can re-install from the App store as well.

You can try using spotlight to find it. (The app store might only create a temporary download file and remove it after install.)

Look in the Applications folder on your boot drive. That's the default install location for Apple applications. If they are not there updaters and installers will fail to install updates.

I believe the installer is deleted after the App store finishes the installation. Otherwise I'd look in one of the invisible folders under the /private folder. None of the apps I've installed via the App store have left an installer on my HD that I've been able to find. I believe that's part of the App store design. So the installer can't be use on other Macs that have not paid for the application.
