Ipad2 unable to find hp office jet 8500

Hi,

Try restarting the iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until you see the slider. Swipe the slider to the right. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until you see the Apple logo.

Try printing.

The HP OfficeJet 8500 does not support AirPrint; for that you need the HP OfficeJet 8500 A.

Make sure you update the firmware on the printer via the printer controls. Consult your manual or go to HPs website for details.

Where did you find this firmware update? I've been looking all over HP site. I too have the 8500 and used to be able to print from my iphone and laptop (via wireless router) and now none of the devices can find the printer...I've downloaded latest software and am at my wits end here. HELP

Usually, it's a menu option on the HP printer itself.

Is there an echo in here?

For those who dont have a compatible airprint printer here is a solution.

Thanks to you all. I did finally get my laptop to print and when doing that the coupon printer from my iphone worked too. I turns out to be a router issue, as once I switched the cable, now my desktop won't print.

I will post in another forum for that issue.
