Does the iPad have any moving parts?

Is there a fan on the processor of the iPad? According to Apple, it has "no mechanical or moving parts". If so, how does the processor stay cool?

Thanks!

Apple iMac Core Duo 2.0GHz 20 inch 2GB RAM, Mac OS X (10.6.7), iPod nano 4th gen.

After having used and aluminum MacBook for a couple of years, enjoying it's warmth in the winter and buying a lap desk so that I could tolerate it in the summer, I was amazed at how little heat the iPad generates. And I'm talking about after hours of continuous use. Mine has never even really gotten warm.

They will overheat if taken outside in direct sunlight on warm days. If the iPad gets too warm, it shuts down. However, they're very hard to use in direct sunlight anyway.
