Q: Need help choosing base colors for my ghosts.
I could sure use a base color starting point for my ghost. RGB values. And any other advise for ghost.
Thanks to this forum (Stuckfootage and Patrick Sheffield) I have accomplished keying out ghost from multiple scenes but now I am struggling on what color values I should settle on.
I made two--sometimes three, composites of my ghost consisting of the whole character, and just the face and hands. I then place OVERs and INSIDESs with slight BLUB, MULT, BRIGHTNESS, and FADE.
Base color for body and face/hands would be helpfull.

Try a pale version of sky blue or cyan.
Human skin has a hue of -33°, which corresponds to about 0.02 using the HLS controls
of Shake's Color Picker. Of course, there racial variations of saturation and brightness,
but the hue is fairly constant.
If you want a non-living non-human color, try the complement of 0.02,
which is a hue of 0.52. You could use the ColorReplace node
to convert skin color to a pastel blue.
