HDCP problems

Updated Apple TV software today and am having problems with HDCP. Now I'm constantly getting this message "This content requires HDCP for playback. HDCP isn't supported by your HDMI connection." I've followed all the advice here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4428

I occasionally got this error message before but switching both TV and AppleTV off and then back on resolved it. Now I can't get it resolved it at all. It shows when I try to use airplay from my ipad 1 and from iTunes on my MacBook Pro. The only video I can get to play via Airplay are some music videos that are copy protected. None protected videos won't play despite the fact they used to be ok.

Is this a software problem or is there anything else I can try.

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.6)

Thanks for the suggestion. I had tried switching ipad off but no difference so I took your suggestion and switched off my router (old style airport extreme).

Tried to play video from ipad using Airplay, still wouldn't work and got HDCP error message. I then opened Remote app (my Mac Book pro was on across the room). Went to exactly the same video on itunes and it played perfectly well. So at least some progress.

However there still appears to be a problem when trying to play material that is on the ipad. All very bizarre.
