Scan button grayed out

When I use Image Capture with my Canon mp460 the scan button is grayed out. I can see the image. I can control the scaner. i just cant save the file. I installed the driver MP460 Scanner Driver Ver. 12.13.1 and I am using OSX 10.5.8.

When you see the overview of the image, you need to point the mouse to one corner of the image (say the top left) and then drag the mouse to the opposite corner (bottom right). This will select this portion of the image and make the Scan button available.
