Saving to older version of Pages

Because, as was explained many times, there is no Save As… menu item in Pages 4.1 under Lion (10.7).

The substitute of Save As…

is

Duplicate

Save… (the replicate).

Why don't I have that option? I have save a version and export. Export gives me options to save as word, PDF, text edit, rtf and epub. No iwork 08.

Those powers of explanation seem to be failing me at this time.
