Lexmark x6650, error message, the printer is paused

I'm new to Mac and cannot find the solution to my problem.
I have a MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard ( I believe, not sure where to look).
My Lexmark x6650 printer used to work fine with my Mac, up until few days ago.Now it doesn't print anything, puts everything into a queue, and shows an error message: /usr/libexec/cups/backend/lexnet3 failed.
The status of the printer is "paused" all the time, and when I try to resume it it displays the same error message again and again.
I use the printer via wireless connection.
I tried to reinstall printer driver, but nothing changed after it.
I would highly appreciate if somebody can help me with this issue.
