Question

Skype + Microphone Feedback

Hi,

is it possible to cancel sound coming out of my Mac on the microphone input. I want to watch videos or listen to music occasionally while i'm skyping, but the other side keeps hearing everything.

Hi Fabian,

Welcome to the forums. I'm not aware of a way to cancel out music being played. BUT you can use headphones. Witch would prevent the other person from hearing your music. Another benefit of using headphones is the person on the other end dose not hear an echo every time they talk.

I meant without headphones, since i know both Windows and Linux-Machines that can do that.

It's on a friend's computer. From what i know it's a feature you can select in the Realtek HD Audio Driver Software.

well my macpro uses Realtek HD audio drivers when booted as XP. I don't see any setting to do what your describing. But he may have a different Realtek card and or driver. Maybe your friend can tell you what the setting is called or what he is using to get that feature.

He uses Windows 7, maybe it has some capability which is needed by the driver.
