and again I will say that safari and ALL native iPhone apps are working fine .. for example if I go to facebook or twitter online through safari it works but the app doesn't work and this goes for ALL apps not just one or two google, ebuddy, IM+, Facebook, Twitter and EVERYTHING.
one more thing anyone with an Andriod based phone can open these apps for example my friends can work with WhatsApp on andriod but on iPhone it doesn't work either

Did all that, and just for the info all iPhones in the uni. campus are not working with apps too, same case as mine. while all android phones are working perfectly

the apps work if i am behind a normal proxy or no proxy too. I searched the internet a lot so i am nearly 90% sure that the problem is with the iOS with handling the apps with "Authentication proxy"

@luvlabs - As much as one wouldn't think that the iPhone is the problem (or in my case, the iPad), I actually think it is.

It appears that iOS does not have support for system-wide proxy settings. That is why I experience certain applications that ask for proxy settings, which have been coded into the application, and some applications just fail completely to access the internet under proxy authenticated networks, because developers have not included a system to ask for proxy settings for the respective application.

I have a thread over in the iPad forums, which I hope will grab some answers. Feel free to keep an eye on it should someone provide an official answer to this issue:

Ah, yes, this is a thing of the iOS software, it seems. Our iPhone 4s don't work through proxys - some apps do, some like the ones we need don't. VoIP apps such as the FaceTime app & Skype still don't work thourgh a proxy!

If anyone knows a VoIP app that works, please, do let me know via a PM & here! Will be forever greatful for this!
