error 2096 PLS help! quicktime failed to initialize

Getting this error when i try to open itunes, quicktime required to run itunes. pls unistall itunes and install itunes. I've already done this 2 times following the instructions on apples web pg and still getting same error msg. installed quicktimes on its own and tried repairing my itunes. quicktimes appears to be ok, my icon is on my desktop but don't really know what quicktime
is used for anyways. Any suggestions would be sooo appreciated.

That one is usually a compatibility mode issue. Although the following document is about -2096s when launching the QuickTime Player, it's also the best place to start with an iTunes -2096 too:

B Noir thank you so much, IT WORKS, the compatbility change didn't work for quicktime but did when I changed it in itunes!! Thank you again!!
