Ping no longer in Sidebar

Ping no longer in Sidebar

Usually I saw Ping activities in the Sidebar -
now I see iTunes Store (Top Songs/Top Albums) there!
How can I get the Ping display back?

go iTunes > preferences > general. there is a little box next to Ping. if there is no tick in the box, put one in and ok out.

for the avoidance of doubt, do you mean the sidebar to the left or right of the iTunes window ?

I mean the right side. (Never saw Ping on the left side.)

try this:

also note the entry for Ping on the left sidebar. that is showing/removed using the tick-box in preferences.

btw, what version of iTunes are you running ?

Danke, but it still doesn't work!

I'm using iTunes version 10.2.1 (1).

I have the entry for Ping on the left sidebar. I can switch to Ping,
but only see it in the entire window.
I can turn the right sidebar on and off by clickig that little arrow-in-a-box
at the bottom/right just when "Music" is displayed, but In this case
I can't see Ping in the right sidebar, only "iTunes Store".

I'm using iTunes for years and I didn't change a thing compared with
yesterday when it worked normally.

you could try *removing iTunes completely* (click here and follow the instructions), then reinstall it using the standalone installer from here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/.

note this will not do anything to your media files, playlists, ratings, etc.

Thanks. Before I do this (20+ steps list!), I will wait a bit.
Sometimes problems disappear when doing nothing.
BTW: Am I the only one with this problem...?
