Apr 27, 2015 8:31 AM in response to Sharpiby clangley1,I tried all the same tactics and none worked. I finally decided to reset my DNS settings using Open DNS and seems to work fine now.

Jan 27, 2016 11:22 PM in response to Akwillowby CA-Wind-Rider,I have an Apple TV 4(? Model A1625) bought a number of weeks ago.
Just tonight, I tried to start a TV show that was bought from iTunes and downloaded previously, I got the same, useless error message that everyone else has gotten.
I tried to rebooting severaly ways several times:
a- pressing and and holding the Menu and Screen button (right of Menu button)
b- reset from the set up menu
c- power up restart
d- install of latest update (only once)
Finally, I selected a short 4 minute making-of video from the same TV series, which loaded and played successfully.
After the playing the short, I tried to play original again, but apparently the TV is no longer loaded.
It then started to reload episode I was trying to watch without an error.
Maybe playing something fixes it.
(I'll update this later).

Jun 12, 2016 11:26 AM in response to AlfredGZby Tech198,I'm getting this on my 3rd gen
All the solutions here doesn't work for me... This includes:
- Restart
- Restore to factory defaults
- Sign out and back in same Apple ID
- Tried different DNS
Givin the fact its just restricted to this content only, its cleanly not the Apple TV, otherwise the same thing would happen across the board...
However i did notice something, a post here someone mentioned it works, but he was using an Airport express.
Could this be the link in the chain ? Is Apple restricting u to use Apple Airport products just so u won't have any problems ?
About to get one, but just want to be sure weather weather this will 100% fix it..

Jun 12, 2016 1:25 PM in response to Tech198by Tech198,updated: I looked around and found already had an Airport express (new one), so I tried pass-through Airport express (Wan port connect to router, LAN port Connect to Apple TV), but still got the same "error unable to load content" Any suggestions? I've run out of options. The only thing i haven't done is replace Apple TV.

Jun 12, 2016 3:23 PM in response to Tech198by Diana.McCall,First, Apple is not restricting you to using Apple networking products.
Second, since you have an ATV 4, posting a new question with your specific problem would be more effective.
Third, are you using any VPN, unblocker, or special DNS service?
Is the ATV software up to date?
Sorry, I miissed that your ATV is 3rd gen.

Jul 18, 2016 9:23 AM in response to Ken Spikerby ChiHawks1,Had this problem only on CNBC not anywhere else (so not ISP or network issue..) I've tried everything and nothing worked - including resetting network, clearing DNS, powering off and menu+down on remote (wait until LED flashes then release) - but I did this that worked: logged out of CNBC, logged back in - having to reactivate via ISP (Xfinity in my case) and that fixed it - back to streaming live! Voila, like magic -
