iTunes only showing most recent 50 episodes, not reflecting RSS feed

Hi there. The iTunes listing source feed for the podcast is

http://robbwolf.com/category/podcasts/feed

which redirects to the Libsyn RSS feed:

http://robbwolf.libsyn.com/rss

The Libsyn feed currently contains all existing episodes, but iTunes is only showing the latest 50 or so episodes. The feed contains all episodes back to episode 1 which is what iTunes should display.

I've tried refreshing the feed. That doesn't work. And when we upload new episodes, more old ones "disappear" - for instance a couple weeks ago we could see up to episode 15... but now episode 20 is the latest that displays in iTunes.

Thanks in advance.

iTunes is using the feed at http://robbwolf.com/category/podcasts/feed which does not contain as many episodes as the feed at http://robbwolf.libsyn.com/rss and has a different title (as you will see on the Store page and when subscribing).

The redirect works in browsers:, and if you subscribe manually to the old feed it changes to the new one. However if you click the 'Subscribe' button in the iTunes Store you get the old feed.

In order to get iTunes to the Libsyn feed you need to follow the procedure detailed here:

Rather oddly, on one occasion when I went to the feed at http://robbwolf.com/category/podcasts/feed the redirect didn't work and I was able to look at the feed. It has the reduced number of episodes and the different title that are showing when subscribing in iTunes. All other occasions it has redirected, so I can't look at it.

However, now when clicking the Subscribe button in the Store I get the old title but all the episodes show, though the Store is showing only back to episode 20. Evidently the old feed has somehow acquired all the episodes, though the title hasn't changed.

You need to access the old feed and add the 'itunes:new-feed-url' tag as described in the Apple Tech note I linked to, to redirect iTunes to the Libsyn feed; then subscribing will sort itself out quite quickly and the iTunes Store in a couple of days or so.

Subscribing still shows the old title, 'Robb Wolf: The Paleo Book and solution podcast...' and so on. It should change pretty quickly if it's going to - of course I can't look at that feed to check it. Leave it for a few hours and then subscribe to it from the Store page and see which version of the title you get - also you can check the feed it's using by control-clicking on the main line for the podcast and choosing 'Copy Podcast URL'.
