Changing your At&T plan from old ipad to new

Why don't you just call ATT and ask. You probably would have had your answer by now.

I bought my iPad 2 thru AT&T and they put the sim card from my iPad 1 to my new iPad. That moved my current data plan to my new iPad (I'm grandfathered into the unlimited plan so I didn't want to lose it).

Worked perfectly.

I second that iPhoNettie. I also have unlimited data plan. Were you aware people are selling their unlimited data plan sim card on Ebay for lots of money..

edit payment information link...then update the following two fields:
IMEI:
ICCID:

You get this info from the iPad (1 or 2) selct 'Settings' then 'General' then 'About'...

The IMEI and ICCID info is on that screen. No need to swap the SIM cards. This process outlined above transfers service instantly and does NOT change the plan type, billing, user info, or days remaining. Basically anytime an ATT customer wants to move a data plan the ATT iPad web page is all you need. No phone call!

The new machine is so much faster than the old one, and also brighter. It was worth the wait.
