Wondering if Final Cut Express will suit my needs... PLEASE RESPOND SOON!

I am trying to compile visuals to be projected for an event and have multiple different sources of videos and they are in many different formats (.mp4, .mov, .iso, .avi, etc.). I am okay with converting them to some certain format, but is this a good program for making a 4 hour-ish visual compilation on? If not, does anyone have any suggestions?

You should have no problem unless some of the videos are hd and still in native formats. Besides this the video files you named should have no problem the only thing you'll have to watch for is the frame size so that they aren't different. Besides this you can check the user guide and see if you can all the formats supported. A four hour project should not be a problem again as long as resolution is somewhat low but rendering will take time. Ten minute 1080i video takes around an hour on 2010 i7 Mac. Besides this as long as you have time you shouldn't have a problem and be able to have no conflict. Also it is a Mac only program.
