SFR French microsim

SFR French microsim

Hi,

I've purchased a pay as you go microsim in France with SFR.

Everytime I receive a phone call it will only says unknown call. No problem when I call as my number is appearing on other phones.
I checked with SFR and they said it's an iPhone problem.

Anybody can help me out?

I tried to play a bit with the network settings section and turned on both the Enable 3G and Cellular Data.
However, I'm still getting only "Unknown" calls whoever calls me.

Caller ID is a carrier feature...I.E.-the carrier transmits the number. If every call you receive shows "Unknown", I suspect SFR is not transmitting the proper caller ID information. Some carriers even charge for this feature. You need to call back and talk to a CSR at SFR.

Thanks. I'll double check with the carrier.
Could this have something to do with the fact that the sim is a pay as you go and has no data plan?

Could very well be. Whatever the problem is though, it's on their end. There is no problem with your phone.
