Voice Memo sync solution!

This solution worked for me, may not work for you depending on software/ipod/iphone type.

IPOD touch is set to manual sync. With ipod connected and itunes window up, click on IPOD music folder. right-click and select command "open in new window". Go to File and sync IPOD. At this point my itunes discovered my voice memos and gave me a popup to sync to itunes. After itunes syncs the voice memo, it is placed with your music in itunes.

For those who want to transfer it to a specific location on your hard drive:

Find the file in your music list. My file name was the date recorded, genre and album is voice memos, artist is "your name"'s ipod. Right click and select "show in windows explorer". Here you can drag to certain locations, or right click and use one those functions (as in: copy, send to, cut, compress and email...etc).

I've seen A TON of posts on this. Keep in mind, this worked for me on an up-to-date windows 7 pc with up-to-date itunes and ipod software on the latest version of the IPOD Touch (gen 4). Presumably it should work across all venues, but I don't try to assume anything when it comes to the nuances of proprietary software.
