Mar 25, 2011 5:17 PM in response to Joseph D Riveraby A. Richards,The most direct way is to configure VPN access with your Internet router, assuming it has a built-in VPN feature. What are you using for a router? If your router doesn't have VPN, another option (albeit less secure) is to set up port forwarding or NAT.
That's the networking side of things. What do you want your editors to be able to do from home with FCSvr? The extremely limited bandwidth will obviously significantly limit what is practical when using FCSvr via a typical residential broadband connection. -
Mar 28, 2011 9:31 PM in response to Joseph D Riveraby Blacknight582,If you do not have the Server based OSX - there's no real easy way to go about using your computer to enable VPN out of the box. If your router has the capability that's great, but if it doesn't then you're in a bit of a bind.
A 3rd party and fairly good program worth trying is iVPN, Google it. the person who developed it no longer offers full support, but I've used it personally and it's pretty reliable and pretty straight forward to set up.
