I have MC497LL model iPad.
I tried to transfer first .mp4 it worked.
I tried second .mp4 _it did not work_. I got the following error when syncing

*"Lec01.mp4" was not copied to the iPAD "XX" because it cannot be played on this iPad.*

_*First .mp4 -*_
Size : 352 X 288
Data Rate : 340 kbps
Total bitrate : 452 kbps
frame rate : 25 frames/second

_*Second .mp4 -*_
Size : 320X 240
Data Rate : 524 kbps
Total bitrate : 628 kbps
frame rate : 25 frames/second

It seems I need to convert this .mp4 file into lower datarate/bit-rate how can I do that and what is the limit for my iPad model MC497LL.

Pls help

The specs for the iPad are:
Video formats supported: H.264 video up to 720p, 30 frames per second, Main Profile level 3.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format

Thus, it appears that the dat/bitrate is not the problem. What is the audio format? How are you converting them? The computer app Handbrake has presets for the iPad.
