iPad 2 "Photos" app suddently became not smooth

I have a very annoying problem: my iPad 2 shows images(scrolling from one to other) and videos (playing is jerky) from "Photos" built-in application NOT smooth and also the pitch to zoom function is jerky.
Actually it seems that now I have a tablet slower than iPad 1 (that I sold yesterday).
I tried to do a reset but nothing changes.
Have you found a similar behaviour? Do you have any ideas to recover full functionality of my ipad 2?

I can confirm this. Everything is stuttering when I Swipe from one Photo to another. Even when a picture is zoomed in and you move from one area of the picture to another, its heavily stuttering. Never had that on my First Gen iPad. Must be a 4.3 issue. Can't imagine the powerfull processor can't handle those already Apple downsized and compressed pictures, where the ipad 1 had no problem. I can't believe Steve and his Team has overseen this. For me this is a big problem and in my company it would have been a sale stopper of firmware 4.3. Apple please do something!

I had firmware 4.3 in my iPad 1 and this problem was not present, so ... I am a little worried.

I'm having the exact same problem! Swiping through photos in the Photo app is laggy and jerky. This has to be a bug in the app or the iOS I guess. So far the update 4.3.1 did not solve this problem for me. Everything else seems to run fine and smooth and fast, so cannot be hardware related.

Same here..that's terribly annoying! How come it works just fine on the first iPad and now we get this silly bug on the iPad 2?!
I tried to do a full restore too but nothing happened..they need to fix it ASAP, I can't stand looking at my 3000+ pics this "laggy" way.

Ditto.

I see the problem with any intense video "action" or animation. iOS 4.3 or 4.3.1, the problem is not present on the original iPad.

Streaming or watching video locally, as soon as there is an "action" sequence, the video stutters.

Super ******. Here's hoping future iOS releases correct this.

Yes, the video are really very jerky, so for me this ipad is almost useless! I sold the first version but because of the keyboard lag and this is solved however now I cannot show videos to my clients because are very ugly.

Di Reggio Emilia. E' abbastanza frustrante questo problema di immagini scattose sinceramente, soprattutto fa innervosire il fatto che su iPad 1 tale difetto non esista proprio. Fra l'altro sul mio iPad 2, oltre al light bleeding, ho notato uno schermo un po' giallognolo rispetto anche ad altri iPad 2 messi in esposizione tipo al Mediaworld..hai anche tu questo problema?

To all users: apart from the (sadly) common but not-so-relevant light bleeding issue, I've noticed that my iPad 2 display has a sort of yellow tint. I've checked with other iPads 2, both in stores and owned by friends, but they don't seem to suffer from the same problem. Will it fade in time or should I just give my iPad2 back to Apple and get a new one? Thanks.

@MKUltra89: fortunatamente non ho nessun tipo di problema di luminosità residua (lo si vede appena con una stanza completamente buia ma nemmeno in quel caso si nota molto, per cui è nella norma, meglio che nel primo che avevo). Comunque il problema dei filmati si "risolve" usando "goodreader" che comunque a bisogno di sincronizzarsi con itunes e non fa il pinch to zoom durante il filmato quindi è una parziale soluzione.

To all users: a possible solution to show videos smoothly is to use a third party application "goodreader". Hovewer with this partial solution, the videos must be uploaded to ipad using itunes (not from camera connection kit) and the pinch to zoom function during playback doesn't work.

Then: Apple, please solve that bug

This is unacceptable for 799 €. It is really no fun to look at pictures with this stuttering during swiping and zooming.

How can we be sure that apple looks at this thread and reacts?

I think the only way to let Apple know is by calling them about the problem. Or collect a lot of users posting a reply in here they have the same problem.

Same problem here. iPad 1 was perfectly fine. Now, when swiping picture to picture it is stuttering!

Same problem, the difference between the ipad 1 and the ipad 2 is crazy.. Photo App lags a lot in the last one. I don't understand why they had not fix the problem in iOS 4.3.1... Any return from Apple on this point ?
