Has anyone used a Sony DCR-SX85 camcorder and got it to work with a Mac?

Im getting a new camcorder to use for my school project. I'm thinking of getting the camcorder stated above as its available at my local BestBuy and I need a camcorder soon! Apple has this camcorder listed as working with Mac's, but I just want to make sure.
Has anyone gotten this camcorder and successfully imported video from it onto their Mac?
Does it import the video through a USB cable?

20" iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.7), none

SD Output : Composite Video Out (A/V connecting cable (supplied)); S Video Out (A/V connecting cable with S Video (sold separately))
USB Port(s) : TypeA, mini-AB/USB2.0 Hi-speed (mass-storage)

So yes on the USB, though the MPEG2 might be a problem. I don't have this camera, so can't offer comments on it specifically.

NOBODY BUY THIS CAMCORDER! This camcorder does work with iMovie and Mac, but the video quality of this camcorder is terrible! I know its not an HD camcorder, but the video quality is so bad that if I watch it on my computer its blurry even if I'm only playing it on a small area of screen. If I watched video in full screen, then it was just a big blob of very distorted images. It's blurry when watching it on a screen the size of the iphone's screen. I was using the highest recording quality on cam andI was in bright lighting and normal lighting conditions so lighting wasn't the problem. Just thought I would share this info before someone else thinks about buying this. My iphone 4 is cheaper then this cam and it has much better video quality then this thing.

Just go to iMovie. Then go to the File drop down menu and click Import From Camera...
