My wife's iPhone did not have a battery drain issue with 4.3 and after updating to 4.3.1 it's draining ridiculously fast. It was plugged in all last night and this morning it was 93% while plugged in. Something is wrong with 4.3.1 as well. I had to go into restrictions and turn of all location services for everything just so she could use the phone. Seems to be holding up better but this is still not good. Her phone was totally fine prior to 4.3.1 and 4.3

My phone blew a gasket upgrading to 4.3 and I still have not updated to 4.3.1 because of my wife's results. 4.3 drained my battery to 10% within 3 hours. Turning off ping and compass in restrictions gave my phone back it's battery life so I'm staying away from 4.3.1

Looks like we need a 4.3.2 update now

Hello

Personally, I am still experiencing battery drain. Over 7-8 hours standby time, I used the phone for two hours - a 20 minute phone call, about an hour's worth of Safari web browsing, reading tweets, facebook, news apps and so on.. I was left with 20% battery after all that. I reckon I drop about 1% every five minutes when I'm using Safari to browse the web.

I've already rebooted the phone, removed MobileMe, Hotmail and Gmail accounts and readded them.

Next step is to disable email/push email, to see if that brings any improvements.

Otherwise it will have to be the full wipe and restore method sigh

It was interesting to note my colleagues with the iphone4 had 50-60% battery left with similar usage!

For now, until they fix the fix

Click Systems
Go into General
Go into Restrictions (enable them and set a password if not enabled)
Turn off Ping
Turn off Compass
Turn off anything else in there that you do not use. then reboot the phone and see if it helps. My wifes phone is now holding charge ok. much better then initially after the 4.3.1 upgrade.

Greetings,

Our iPhone 4s didn't have a battery drain before or after 4.3.1 - they are getting the battery life as advertised. I considered all the types f battery drain I could have, and it varies a lot depending on what you are doing and what services you run.

I kept record of what I did, and what I used, and it is getting as advertised.

Cheers,
M.

I had this issue as well after the update.

What I found was that PUSH was turned back on for my mobileme and exchange accounts, whereas previously I always had these set to FETCH, 30 minutes.

I dealt with a fast draining battery for 5 days until I checked this 2 days ago. After making the revisions to FETCH, I am back to normal.

So it had nothing to do with features in 4.3, but Apple did reset my settings in this regard as a result of the upgrade.
