PDF slow to load on iBooks

I have added a few PDFs to iBooks. The PDFs are graphics heavy on the page. When I open the PDFs, they are very slow to load in iBooks. I have to wait for every page to load in the lower page view before I can start reading the PDF. Has anyone else seen this?

I used to use Stanza on the iPad for PDFs because they rendered very well and also rendered fast. I, too, find that iBooks renders PDFs very slowly on iPad. Since iOS5, Stanza no longer works, and I've downloaded Adobe's new PDF reader, which actually works nicely in terms of rendering, but doesn't allow for you to customize the title and author fields for easier sorting. Hope this helps.
