Is there a way to watch amazon instant video on apple tv or iPad?
No.
Like Meg said... which is why I use Netflix and Hulu, and I keep holding out for Apple to do a deal with Hulu so I can use it through my AppleTV like Netflix!! Be nice if they would with Amazon (or vice versa)
Get a Roku. You can do all of them.
That is such a thorough non-answer.

Why, thank you!
There is now an app for Amazon Instant Video for the iPad. However, I've been on an online chat with Amazon support because it is giving me a network error. I downloaded the app, connected to WiFi and upon logging in to the Amazon app in which to access my Amazon "My Library", I get a 'Network Error and please retry'.
I've tried deleted app, redownloading, resetting network settings, assuring proxy settings were off, hard shut down and reboot of iPad. Nothing seems to resolve the issue. Amazon customer support said they are esculating this issue with their tech department and should be able to resolve my issues. I will update this post if that happens.

Hi, I also downloaded the Amazon Instant Video app on my iPad2. Works great on iPad but cannot get it to work properly on Apple TV. Get audio but no video. Any suggestions?
Hi,
I have iPad 4 with same problem. Av adapter with hdmi to tv all I get is audio and no video.
Everything else is mirrored on tv. Amazon needs to fix this app . I told the salesman I wanted to watch amazon movies from my iPad to tv. Geek squad says it should work well it doesn't . Now they tell me to just buy an Apple TV. Think I will just hook up to my computer again until this issue is fixed.
