Scrubber Bar is Gone!

I went to repeat play a playlist on my iPhone Touch yesterday and realized my 'scrubber bar' doesn't appear on the Cover Art Now Playing Screen. This means I can't skip through a track, shuffle or repeat from where I'm playing. I tried wiping the iPod and re-syncing it, reset all it's data, etc etc - with no luck. The scrubber bar does not show when I switch from the Now Playing List screen to the Cover Art screen..

So I went to my iPhone - same problem!! Am I missing something here? Both devices are on 4.3.1

Hi Ken: Have you tried tapping the album art while the music or podcast is playing? That should bring the "scrub-bar" to the screen.

Did you tap on the cover art screen once?

Just in case you don't know this, clicking on the screen once hides or shows the bar and info.

That's it everyone....

I had tried that before, but it looks there are certain 'hot spots' where it works and where it doesn't...double tapping also does not work since that just brings up the playlist

Ken,
the trick is to tap the screen _very briefly._ Any longer than "briefly" is a touch, which is something different.

Bless you, bless you all. I've been operating without this for months and missing it greatly. When I got a new iPod and it was still happening there, I finally decided to go looking.

Anyone know when this default behavior began and why? I swear there are a number of useful features in these devices which just aren't communicated in a clear fashion.

I also had the same problem. You just tap twice and hold it for a few seconds and it'll appear again. If this method doesn't work you just randomly tap and hold until it appear. I hope you can fix the problem. Good luck.
