HELP!! Iphone 3g not working after reset (Erase all content and setting)

Iphone 3g not working after reset (Erase all content and setting)

picked the (Erase All Content and Settings) It said that it will take about an hour to finish. Now all I see is the apple icon and the circle that goes around the icon. I tried turning it off and back on but still nothing. Any ideas if this can be fix?

That is not an iPhone reset - that is an Erase All Content and Settings option which is a secure erase of all content and settings - everything but the firmware/OS.

Try placing your iPhone into recovery mode. If successful, this will require restoring your iPhone with iTunes.

Thanks a lot man it helped me to proceed further...but now i am facing another problem like below.

Itunes restore gives unknown error 1015 at 3/4 of the process.
i checked it out, apple says that i'm trying to downgrade. this is not true
the firmware level is 4.2.1 and I downloaded the latest in itunes, still fails.

Please some one help

I believe when I selected Erase All, it removed everything but the firmware on the iPhone, so what advice can anyone give me on what else I can do?

the same problem with me

i restore my iPhone 3GS with iTunes

but nothing changed!!

iTunes said: iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes.

i already restore my iphone and above of that it wont open!!

I also have a problem

My iPhone constantly shuts down and then starts again automatically, and after I read this, I don't dare to reset my iPhone 😉 haha whe seem like a bunch of losers. I wish I was real handyman and then I would fix all the problems😁

If you know what I've to do, please tell me? 'Cause I'm not a handyman😝

What you have done is Reset your iphone which was Jailbroken. You have know chance of fixing your problem.

Nope Ali. When you try to connect it to itunes and restore it, itunes verifys the iphone to Apple to see what software it is, if it is jailbroken etc. If Apple Verifies it and your iphone is jailbroken, they brick the iphone and will no longer be able to work. Thats why people warn you to not restore/Update an jailbroken iphone.
