I just got an iphone 4, and there is no option to save messages I get.. is there actually a way? Like an app or something? I would like to save some messages I get and store it on my phone, and not my computer.
Messages are stored by default on the iPhone, they are not deleted unless you actually delete them yourself. They are backed up to your computer when you sync and are restored to the iPhone when you restore a backup.
I have all my text messages on my iPhone 4, which include all the messages I sent / received on my iPhone 2G and iPhone 3G. Mine date all the way back to 12th Feb 2008!

I should've explained it a little bit more.. but i mean like can you move the messages somewhere else on the phone to like a saved message folder. Like so you don't have to sort through 100 messages to find the one you want.
When you are viewing a message thread then you will see an edit button in the upper right of the iPhone screen. If you touch edit, you will then see small circles appear at the side of every message, you can touch the circles which then selects the messages, once you have selected all the ones you want to delete you can use the Delete button at the bottom of the screen.
Ah okay, but this seems a little tedious selecting every message 1 by 1, if I had 500 messages this might take awhile.. Is it possible to select all then unselect the ones I wanted?
Is this also possible on a computer somehow?
