Adding songs from itunes of a second laptop without deleting the existed
I had a laptop, where I always been syncing my iPhone, but that laptop is not workin anymore. So now when I sync the iPhone to an other laptop i'cant add more music. ITunes says I have to remove all my existing songs and put them all over again. The thing is that with the broken laptop I've lost those songs. So what Im asking is if there is any solutions in order to add new songs in my IPhone without deleting the ones that already existed. Thank you.
" So now when I sync the iPhone to an other laptop i'cant add more music. ITunes says I have to remove all my existing songs and put them all over again. "
This is true. This is indeed the design of the iphone.
"So what Im asking is if there is any solutions in order to add new songs in my IPhone without deleting the ones that already existed. "
No.
The iphone will sync with one and only one computer at a time. When you sync to anther, it will erase the current content and replace with content from the new computer.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer files/docs/pics/music/etc. Use your backup copy of the laptop to put everything on the other laptop.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( not good) then you can transfer itunes purchases from the iphone. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
There are numerous programs available that allow you to access the files on your iPhone without using iTunes. Simply download one of them then use it to copy the files from your iPhone to you computer. Import them into iTunes and then sync you iPhone with your iTunes library.
Well, you can stand by your answer all you wnat... however, it's still wrong! 😉
He asked if there was ANY method to add songs without deleting the ones that are already on his iPhone. There is, simply use any number of freely available program to add songs to his iPhone... no need for iTunes at all.
My suggestion allows him to continue using iTunes... he simply retrieves the songs from his iPhone using a third-party application... then adds those to the iTunes library on his new computer... then re-syncs his iPhone with his iTunes library.
Read his question again... he is not asking for a way to do this ONLY using iTunes, nor is he asking for ONLY an Apple supported way to do this.
He is simply asking for help. This is not rocket science.
I am absolutely correct in saying there is no way to use the device as designed or intended to do what he wants.
Of course you can modify or use almost any product in any way if you stray outside of the intended uses or functions.
If I asked if my Jeep would float a correct answer would be no.
However, it would also be correct to say that with some modification and straying outside of the normal intended use that you can indeed make one float.
Why is it important for you to make sure my completely true answer be rendered wrong by you?
Ah, the classic passive/aggressive "calm down" when proven to be wrong and lacking a better comeback... cool. 🙂
You might try answerring the actual question next time and not just making up your own interpretation of it.
The device, as designed, works just fine for doing what I described. There is no hack/mod/jailbreak to the iPhone software/hardware used to to this.
One more time... he simply asked if there was ANY way to to it. You replied "No", which was wrong.
Now perhaps you need to "calm down" and admit admit to yourself that you either misread the question or (hopefully not) intentionally gave him a wrong answer when you said it couldn't be done.
