Metal shavings in the magnet

So, in a moment of glorious stupidity I opened my computer in a metal shop, and ever since then my power input has been intermittent due to a few stray metal shavings getting sucked in there by the magnet.

I've tried a brush, tweezers and a can of air, but that magnet is tricky! I can move the bits around but it won't let go! Anyone have any suggestions? Do I have to take it apart?
