i have a word document w/ graphics, photos, and some very specific formatting that i'd like to convert to pages. i've tried numerous methods: cut & paste, "open with" pages, conversion programs, etc., and so far everything results in all the images being lost and the formatting being disrupted as well.
this is a 100 page document that i'd love to not have to reconstruct in pages, and am praying that there is some solution out there for me. ultimately i want to make changes to the doc that will be much easier in pages than word (i think). any ideas?
When I open a word document (word 97 one), the pictures are passed with no problem.
For the changes in the layout, they are quite guaranteed. Word use its own tool to build the pages, Pages use its own different ones.
Given that, there is no way to guarantee that the doc will survive to the export process without any change.
