QUESTION - Documents - How to attach and send by email having created ?

Am a new user finding my feet & I use enteprise for emails.

What is the best way to attach & e mail a doc (word/powerpoint etc) having created ?

I have recently purchased "Docs to go" & also "go docs",I also use google docs.

However ....whilst i am obviously able to create docs i seem unable to work out how to subsequently attach and send them by email ?

Know i am being dumb here but any advice greatly appreciated !

I don't have those apps so I how exactly it works in them (and I assume that they have the facility), but you need to select the document in the owning app (Docs To Go etc) and from within that app attach it to an email i.e. you don't do it via the Mail app.

In terms of Documents To Go I've found the following instructions :

You can do this 1 of 2 ways:
1) Open the actual Word document on your iPad in Documents To Go. Tap on the bottom left icon that looks like a piece of paper with a triangle on it, then tap "Send"
2) When you are in Documents To Go, tap on Local files. When in local files, at the bottom right there is an icon with a ➕ sign. Tap on that icon and choose "Email with attachments" Tap "Add File" and navigate and add the files you want to email.

The first suggestion would be best for sending 1 attachment while the second suggestion would be good for multiple attachments.

Yet another missing feature that apple has not integrated into the mail app. Sending attachments as others have explained happen within the 3rd party apps, not the ios email app. The email settings they are talking about above are the ios email app settings. aka, you have to have the ios email app set up to send and recieve email. The 3rd party apps then can attach files from within the third party apps and opens the ios mail app with the attachment included.

Its quite silly that apple has not added a simple paperclip to the integrated mail app yet.

As for 3rd party apps for file handling, i came accross a one called FileBrowser. (The icon is a Blue folder with a big FB on it.) It's unique in the way that you can connect to windows based network shared drives and Network Area Storage divices to store files external to you device as well as controle folder organization on your iphone or ipad, etc.

TO APPLE: HURRY UP AND ADD EMAIL FILE ATTACH AND NATIVE WIFI/BLUETOOTH PRINTING TO IOS!!!!!!
