Original iPhone and Motorola T505

Hi,

I’ve got version 3.1.3 (7E18) installed on my original iPhone. I can get calls to work through the Motorola T505 speaker and through my car’s speakers using the FM pairing capability. I can’t seem to get the ipod on my iphone to work, however.

Suggestions anyone, or is there a reason why my music on my original iphone won’t play through the Motorola T505?

Thank you.

I can tell you exactly why you can't play music. The original iPhone and iPhone 3G support bluetooth headset mode only, which means you can only pair with a bluetooth device for voice calls. Just FYI, FM pairing is actually called Bluetooth pairing.

Most other phones, even ones from 2007, support a full bluetooth profile, which includes playing music. For an unknown reason, Apple didn't start supporting this until the iPhone 3GS.
