DivX problem

Okay, I thought I could get another 15 day free trial of DivX so I downloaded it again and tried to open. It stated my 15 day had expired. No big deal. So I am trying to watch tutorials now on the Apple website and the DivX symbol would pop up and give error message. So I uninstall it and now I can not watch tutorials on my Mac(Starting to pull hair out) I can hear the tutorials but the screen in white and the circle that spins around keeps spinning. Oh and the controls do not work so I can not pause or restart the tutorial. I am not Mac savvy or computer savvy for that matter. Can any one help me out here. Thanks

Install the following........

RealPlayer

Flip4Mac

VLC Media Player

Perian (AVI and FLV support)

Adobe Flash Player Software

After the installation, repair permissions and restart your computer.
In case you need instructions:
Save and/or quit your applications & doucuments

Go to Applications>Utilities Folder

Click Disk Utility

Click the Volumn (HD) that you want to check.

Click the Repair Disk Permissions button. (Don't worry about verifying)

At the bottom of window when the repairs have finished, you will see the “most important thing”:
Permission Repairs Complete
The previliges have been repaired or completed on the selected volumn.

Restart your computer.
