Home Sharing doesn't work.

Hi there,

I've got a problem using home sharing in iTunes. I've got an iMac and a MacBook using the same iTunes account. But neither one is finding the other library. I renamed both libraries and turned on sharing but nothing works. With my iPad and apple tv it works, but I only can find one of the libraries, not both. Is it possible that it doesn't work because of the names of my home folders? When I set up both macs I named them the same.

Thanks for helping.

iMac, MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

i'm sure you did but try disabling home sharing from the advanced menu on both machines then turn it back on for both machines and use the same iTunes store account.

if still no joy, you could try *removing iTunes completely* on both Macs (click here and follow the instructions), then reinstall it using the standalone installer from here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/.

note this will not do anything to your media files, playlists, ratings, etc.
