Cannot Delete Email account....Delete button gone.

I had a user call in with email phone issues (stuck in dfu mode) and I was walking him through setting up his email. He messed something in the config, so I asked him to just delete the email account and start over. Long story short...he said he didn't see the delete button (he has an Ip4)

so I looked at my phone to make sure I was giving him correct path and noticed I don't have the delete button either (I have an IP3gs) ...I have my co worker look at his phone and his is there.

anybody have this issue??? How does the delete button just disappear? (to delete email accounts)

In addition, the caller I was speaking with had the button there yesterday.

Check: Settings>General>Restrictions...are they on? Allow>Changes>Accounts.

Thanks for the reply wjosten,

my restrictions were set to "off" so I hit "enable restrictions" it asked for a passcode, so I just typed in a four digit code ...it enabled the feature...everything under the feature list was set to "on"

I then went back to the email account to delete and no luck. I rebooted the phone then checked again..still no delete button.

Try going to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your Account...turn off ActiveSync...this may take a few minutes, but wait for it to turn off. Once off, see if you can delete the account now.
