Error 1304

Error 1304

When installing quicktime, I've been getting an Error 1304, where I cannot write to a QuickTimeStreamingAuthoringLocalized.qtr file. When installing Apple + iTunes, I get the error 3. Anyways, I went into regedit already and deleted everything from Quicktime and tried all those solutions. Any other ideas...

I forgot to mention that I have looked up the file, any time I click it at all my computer freezes up for around a minute, and I am unable to delete it, even in safe mode.

This sounds like a Windows issue. I would try running "msconfig" and unchecking some programs that look QuickTime related. Also, maybe you could run Chkdsk and see if it finds any corrupted sectors on your hard drive.

Just did a Google search for windows install error 1304 and seems like a pretty wide open error message. One link said your Windows installer might have been corrupted by a virus, still others say it's a problem with CD-ROM files.

No way to tell which one of these will fix your problem, but, since this apparently is a common Windows problem, there are a lot of links out there to get ideas from.
