In addition, Apple is guarantying availability and +1 hour+ shipping for online orders anywhere in the world (except Antartica).

I knew right away it was a joke, since the real specs say it is run from a butane micro-fuel cell that lasts a millenium on just an ounce of fuel.

...can't find where to pre-order though...

It doesn't make toast? What kind of 3rd gen tablet doesn't make toast? Just another example of Apple restricting our freedom of consumption by only offering us coffee. I am not buying one!

Yes -I'm aware its several centuries old and recognized pretty much every where the is a British cultural influence. Our middle eastern posters may not be quite as aware of it, I'm thinkng (but perhaps incorrect there as well).

There is controversy around the origin of April Fools' Day.

I believe it was introduced many centuries after the last cave person died and many centuries before the first iPad was announced.

Despite what the English muffin fanboys may say, toast is still the breakfast bread of choice for most people. Apple's continued insistence that "toast is going away" alienates many possible customers. Just think how successful Apple could be if they just accepted that people want toast. It seems like a no-brainer to me.
